Geometric rock pool

This morning we set off to do the reverse route of the walk that Mr hazelh and I completed on 11th August 2015, and Mr hazelh did on his own the day that I went to the sheep dog trials* in July 2014.

The weather was beautiful most of the way round, and much of the time the three of us felt a little over-dressed in trousers and long sleeves. We saw all the main features of the route again: the split rock, the Viking watermill and the broch in the loch. The wildlife count included seals, sea eagles (we think), and an otter.

We popped back to the house after the walk to change our boots, then headed up the road to the Uig community tearoom where walkingMarj treated us all to afternoon tea. We'll miss her when she leaves tomorrow :-(

We're now looking forward to the return of our fellow guests who travelled to St Kilda by boat today. We expect that they will have lots to share about their trip over dinner.

My blip is of a pool very close to the rocks where I saw the otter.

*Luckily they were all let off.

Exercise today: 8 miles of walking.
