Rimini day 1

9th July 2012 ?16

Go to the start of my trip here.

We woke late (11 ish) missing breakfast but needing the sleep, walked to the supermarket and I got 2 yoghurts, apple and 3 bananas and popcorn (?3.50) Lovely breakfast on the balcony of banana and yoghurt and some milk. We got ready and headed for the beach. It's ?3.50 for a sun lounger, but it has a cool thing that kept our heads in the shade. There was a breeze so we didn't realise how hot the sun was. Sea was warm and refreshing. We headed out at 12:30 and in at 4 pm. I had done my suncream with my shorts on which resulted in a gap which had no cream on when in bikini shorts :( burnt upper thigh and lower belly. Lots of moisturiser. Poor Fiona and Sarah were worse. but hey, no travelling for 3 more days so all is fine. We had showers and short nap and I woke the girls at 6 pm and we headed to buy dinner. Bought whole cooked chicken and salad and tomatoes for ?6-something about ?2.10 each! DELICIOUS! Now we are proper backpackers haha. Before this I'd only had breakfast and an apple after the shower. Tasted like heaven.

We chilled together till 9:30 pm ish when we headed downstairs in hope of good chat. The bartender makes really fancy shots so we all got one (?3) although weren't keen to drink. I got one in which he set a light to a sugar cube in a glass. You toast a marshmallow, dip it inot the shot and then eat it. Then do the shot. Very tasty. We then got long island ice teas (?6) and sat with a large group of Australian boys. They had been travelling Europe and their awful organisation and horrific luck caused them to spend thousands of euros in only two weeks. Very interesting to hear all about their lives and enjoy their accents.
