Indigo Bunting Singing

We met our friend Henry at the summit of Mt. Holyoke in Hadley, where we were joined by other birders--a pleasant group which provided additional eyes and ears.  As often the ears had much the better part, and my lens the least.  This male Indigo was not a wonderful photo op--high, rather distant and back-lit, but proved to be the best blip. (My absolute best is this one, from a day more than two years ago.)   There's a Cerulean nest on the mountain--stay tuned for more on that.
