Poppies

Amazing and wonderful to see the 300,000 red and vibrant hand knitted poppies at the Chelsea Flower Show today in the grounds of the Royal Hospital of Chelsea. 

Started in Melbourne in 2013 by Lynn Berry and Margaret Knight the 5,000 Poppies Project began as 120  crochet poppies designed to honour their fathers who had fought in WW11. Since then it's grown made by people all over the world, created to honour the service men and women who have fought in conflicts in the last 100 years.
