Saltaire Arts Trail

It's the Saltaire Arts Trail this weekend... and it's always a creative, arty farty afair... and guess what..... today I was an official amateur volunteer photographer for the event... whit whoo, get me hey - lanyard and everything!!! :O :O :O   Oh what fun I had, doing what I would have been doing anyways!
Here is the roofspace of Salts Mill which isn't always open to the public but there was a photographic display from Leeds Photographic Society and all visitors had to study them all and vote for their favourite photo.  Oh decisions, decisions.... and after much ummming and aaahing.... and a few laps.... I chose a portrait of a couple of happy ladies as my fave.
Quick extra is of a lady taking part in a 'thinking about what we wear' workshop, making an imprint of something they were wearing, and then writing a label about it, where it was made... what material it was......and then the labels were displayed on a board.
It was really quite shocking the countries of origin of most of the garments, China, Indonesia, Albania, China, Bangladesh, India, China, Turkey.... oh and China!  BUT there was a leather belt made in Durham and a dress, made at home! :)

PS bumped in to fotojunci and majikcat - how nice!! :)
