Picture perfect.

This was the phrase used by my friend on our walk today when we came across this pretty cottage with a cat on the doorstep on the outskirts of Oxenhope. I have to agree with her, so it is my blip.

We were following the Bradford Millennium Way circular walk no 6 starting in Oxenhope and climbing through lovely meadows full of buttercups and other summer meadow flowers to Upper Marsh just below Penistone Hill. We could see the Bronte film set on the horizon for quite a way. It is still there but there was no action today.

There were signs on Haworth Main Street of 'Set Dressing for filming in Haworth' on some of the shops and pubs. Notably the Black Bull had had all its signage removed and its drainpipes boxed in so there is no doubt more action to come.

Lots of union flags at the bottom of the hill and I particularly liked this window (extra) presumably dressed for the '40 s weekend a couple of weeks ago.

We returned to Oxenhope alongside the River Worth and the railway. This path is part of both the Worth Way and the Railway Children way. We did see steam engines passing through the trees so we got a bit of everything today.

Finished at the George in Cullingworth for a drink and lunch.
These Monday walks are becoming a bit of a nice habit.
Thank you Mr and Mrs Corinthian Column for organising and for your company and transport!

PS I've just noticed that there may be another cat (ginger) in the right hand window)
