Circle of Life

BikerBear's twist for Flower Friday this week is "Circle". 

Many flowers are circular in shape, with their stamen deep in the centre of the flower head attracting the insects in for the sweet nectar. 

The oriental poppies in my garden are prime examples, and have a glorious centre with a circle of stamen.  While I was snapping away they were visited by a couple of bees who were almost fighting over the flowers and buried themselves deep into the circle of stamen to reach the nectar - I managed to capture one of them in flight (see extra)
