A Touch of Red

We awoke to frost.... A white lawn and minus 2C. Maisie and I took a midday walk around the lake at the Taylor Dam. There were families and walkers there either picnicking or strolling on the many tracks. Maisie is a very sociable little dog and enjoyed making friends with people..
This is a view from part of the northern bank looking south west. A red car is parked near the russet red tree while its owners walk their dog.
I spotted a black swan with three very small cygnets on the lake. It seems rather late in the season for these little babies. In another part of the lake black swans were putting on displays to impress each other. Perhaps there will be more cygnets in the making.
