Beach

20.8C (the car thermometer said 23C at 1pm) bright and hazy. Light ESE breeze in the morning, then WNW in the afternoon

Grocery shopping over by mid morning.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach to Carskey Bay where we had a walk with Maeve the Deerhound from one end of the beach to the other and back. The sea was flat calm. There was paddling by Apothecary7. Maeve doesn't like the small waves breaking on the shelf of sand just offshore and running up the beach so she just stayed at the edge of the water.

The tide was too far in for the seals to be out on the rocks today. By Keil cemetery we saw one seal bobbing offshore just waiting for the tide to fall.

Later we took Maeve for a wander round town. It was still very warm.

E-PL5 f/11 1/500 sec. ISO-200 23mm

Note: The extra ... Maeve catching up with Apothecary7 on the beach at Carskey.
