Waiting

Son2 accompanied me on the dog walk first thing this morning and we bumped into Annabelle and Basil Junior and another friend of Annabelle's so we walked half the way round with them. As we got to the end of our route we noticed a national park person putting up an electric fence round the perimeter of the field. I had a text from Annabelle later saying that the cows were now fenced in on one side of the field. Although it's a large area it seems sad that they can't roam the whole common like they usually do. Maybe it's only temporary though.

Anyway, I did a Sainsbury's run and then went to work for the afternoon. Then I came home, cooked dinner and went off with Mr DawnAgain to Petersfield Heath (to get more steps on his pedometer for his work challenge). Earlier in the day, when it was sunny, this had seemed like a good idea. In the event it was a bit grey and showery. It was nice to find a second swan's nest though and I'm hoping this one has more than the two eggs in the other one. Hopefully they will all come to fruition soon.
