Nuthatch

It was great to get back to the park this afternoon after a few days absence, but I have to admit that it was really cold...well below freezing with a light blanket of snow on the ground. My fingers gradually turned to icicles, or so it seemed, as I watched a flock of birds: sparrows, chickadees, nuthatches, and a few squirrels, competing for the birdseed someone had once again put out on a park bench. This little nuthatch flew back and forth from the tree, where I blipped him, to the bench. They were all having a feast, and they were very excited about it.
