But it's calm in the puddle

10 % of Finland is covered with water. There are 647 rivers and 187 888 lakes. Lakes have almost 100 000 islands and a total estimated shoreline of 215 000 kilometres in the lakes, plus 314 000 km of coastline.

The European Union contains 93 lakes with an area exceeding 100 km2. 47 of these are in Finland. Most of Finland’s large lakes were formed during the Ice Age and shaped by the land uplift . Päijänne and some other major lakes were born from cracks in the bedrock formed hundreds of millions of years ago. Lappajärvi and Paasivesi have a heavenly origin, having been caused by meteorites.

In the picture is Pyhäjärvi, which is the 39th largest lake in Finland, 122 km2. Pyhäjärvi is very common name for a lake in Finland - there are in total 38 Pyhäjärvi lakes in Finland.

There are 20 lakes or ponds in Pirkkala municipality.  Shoreline length in Pirkkala is about 72 km, of which Lake Pyhäjärvi coastline in 53.5 km. The aquatic nature has a great significance in Pirkkala landscape.  Location along water courses has been affected by the fact that the area has been inhabited for thousands of years. In Tampere there are 146 lakes.

This explains why a lake can be seen in so many of my blips :)
