Getting Dark

Another grey and wet day, another early start.  Today a colleagues and I were off on a visit to Dundee to see a project in action.  It was a really interesting visit, which has certainly made me think about a few things I hadn’t really considered before.  We were taken back to the railway station by a helpful police colleague (in a police car) – the only time I have ever been in a police car!  I’m pleased to say we weren’t escorted onto a train and banished from Dundee.

We made it back to the office early in the afternoon, which gave me some time to catch up with a few things.  I rushed down to get my train home, only for it to be cancelled.  I had to wait on the next one – luckily I managed to squeeze on, many didn’t.  My short journey was not at all pleasant.  This meant I was late in picking BB up - again.

Much later, once the rain had stopped, I went out for a walk.  No otters tonight, but the duck family were back at the weir.  The cygnets and a parent, were asleep near the Nungate Bridge.

Here is St Mary’s Church as the light was starting to fade – not that there has been much light at all today. The extra is the sleeping swans.
