Belford Kickin' Country

Day off today to accompany MrM to both of the gigs he played at.

The first, at Belford Kickin' Country (an event for County & Western enthusiasts), where MrM played mandolin with Jimmy Little and Friends, was quite 'interesting'. The music was accompanied throughout by a variety of sounds from outside the marquee - a loud generator, a shoot-out, an axe-throwing competition and a little dog (wearing a bright pink, sequinned tutu dress) barking at another dog, among others!

The second gig was playing bass guitar with Swing Street, the jazz band (see Extra) at Alnmouth Arts Festival. They were on very good form and almost blew the top off the marquee! Louie came with us, and when he got fed up with the jazz, enjoyed a walk on the beach, about 30-seconds walk away from the marquee.
