People watching

Me watching him and him watching the rest of the world.

Veraluamium Park in St. Albans where the girls took me for a stroll and a spot of lunch for father's day. Extras show some of the remains of the Roman wall that used to encircle the city in 4th century AD. I particularly love the footings of the London Gate as you can still clearly see the two larger entrances for horse drawn vehicles and animals, the smaller pedestrian entrances, the towers and part of the wall. For these to survive more than 1600 years is quite remarkable, especially given the tendency for the Saxons to pillage them for materials to build their own structures after the Romans had left the country for good. History is so much more fascinating when you can interact with it, see it, touch it.

Mexican meal round Rachel and Ross' tonight. Better dig out my sombrero and handlebar mustache, oh and pop a toilet roll in the fridge in case the food is very spicy.
