Alnmouth

Longest day and a long day it's been.

Great night's sleep in Rotherham N HIE and then a full day's interviewing with CSSY colleagues. The early morning rain cleared away to a sunny afternoon.

M took me to Mexborough station where the delayed train got later and later. I watched my Doncaster bound X Country train power through the station which mean a 45 minute wait with no coffee. Lunch was a long time ago.

Now on the last stopping train north. Alnmouth looks very pretty. The red wine has eased the journey and being midsummer it is still daylight at past 10 pm. There is a full moon. I'll get home at midnight.

Reading 'The Scots' about DNA heritage. There is a Jura man who is closer in DNA to Syria than other islanders. Immigrants? We are all immigrants.

The extra is Berwick at 10.30 p.m.with some internal shadow, bit a full moon over the bridges.
