Afternoon Stripes

I finished this painting today. I decided to call it Afternoon Stripes. Soon I will begin another painting of stripes of light, this one from a photo of the light streaming in over the rocking chair in our dining room. Mehitabel is sitting on top of the chair. I started making thumbnails of the painting today. It will be a bit more complex than this one and I'm thinking of making it larger. We shall see.

Had a good day today with painting, Helena over for the afternoon and evening, and a quick trip to Fairhaven for desert. A good day was had by all. We sat on the deck and had a quiet moment before dinner. We had fun feeding the jays.
