Sagnlandet Lejre

10.000 years of Danish history brought to life in Sagnlandet Lejre (ie. Land of Legends Lejre). It is an open-air park in the most beautiful Danish countryside, where you can stroll among reconstructions of ancient living environments, like the Iron Age village, the Stone Age camp, the Viking market, the 19th century-farm cottages, and many more.

Houses and settings from the Iron Age, Stone Age, Viking Age and 1800th century, historic workshops and domestic animals are located in the beautiful historic landscape in Lejre near Roskilde. The boys and I went there today and it was great.

I love places like this - you can feel the history in the air... I

Sagnlandet Lejre's activities are spread over 43 hectares, so the boys have had a very long walk today. They have really enjoyed it. It was perfect weather for them - sunny but not too hot. We were lucky to go in the morning though. It was getting a lot warmer, when we were ready to go home.

Here the boys are posing in the Iron Age Village (200 BC - 200 AD).

I was another very warm night with some thunder - not as bad weather as the night before though.

See you tomorrow
