Chimney Birds Take Flight

What a day! Every time Jazzy and I went down the field looking for bugs the heavens opened. I've changed my clothes three times. On one of our forays I noticed Kes sitting on top of the bottom boiler house chimney. I could see and hear a male chaffinch singing from that vantage point too. He was taking his life in his hands as kestrels do sometimes prey on small birds. They both took to the air at the same moment.
