The 'Bee' Man

Met John Coyle the “bee man” this afternoon at Carole Seymour’s Open Gardens near Arnprior .
 
He had brought along a hive to demonstrate to the public what beekeeping is all about.
 
Our ecology is a finely balanced environmental act and bees are crucial to it. But they are under serious threat from commercial pesticides, diseases and mites.
 

He had a glass tube of Varroa mites for us to see.
