Fiddling!

Backblip

I went to the folk festival in Bampton, Oxfordshire, a very picturesque village of lovely cottages in golden Cotswold stone.

It's an unusual festival as the festival goers make the entertainment -playing tunes, singing songs and dancing. There are a few guest musicians but no concerts - just participation.

The blip is of a session in one of the pubs in the village - the murals of Toulouse Lautrec copies are most unusual in an English pub.
The fiddler on the left is one of the members of the band that I play in.

After the pub closed we joined a room full of musicians playing tunes in the pavilion on the site - it was well after 4.00 am when I got to bed. People were still playing when I left!
