Robyn

Robyn, who is the daughter of a very good friend, is in London on her travels from Australia. Adam and I went up to London today to meet her - her parents are Adam's godparents so does that make her Adam's god-sister?! We had a lovely tea with fresh scones (gluten free for me) and caught up on news of our respective families. I have also added an extra of Adam and Robyn. She will come back to London after a period of working in France, and we will see her again.

I thought the Chancellor's speech this morning would calm the markets down but it has had no affect and the pound has slumped further. However, so has the dollar and the Euro been affected so we are not really that much worse off. As the Chancellor said, we are one of the strongest economies in the world so we are in a good position to weather this - there are not many countries who can get a £250 billion injection from their central bank. As for Corbyn - why doesn't he get the message and just resign? Where is his honour and dignity? Sorry for the political comments, but it is all consuming at the moment.

Surely England will beat Iceland tonight? Adam has 5 friends over to watch the football and I am busy getting supper ready for them before the match starts.
