Wow!

Baguettes, second attempt. I am now officially awesome. Amazed at how well these turned out; I used this recipe. There is still room for improvement; I used my special shaped baguette baking tray and the bottoms lacked a bit of crispness, so next time I will be brave and slide them straight onto the pizza stone with all the attendant risks.

I didn't get that much work done today -- much of the morning was spent refreshing my Twitter feed. I don't think we knew the true meaning of the word "omnishambles" till today. This tweet caused me to spurt coffee through my nose. But unfortunately it's really not funny; the massive egotism of Boris Johnson has had a terrible effect on the futures of so many people, and now he walks away from it -- he won't suffer for what he's done.
