Cat-Tree-Antics

Note: I have just caught back up -this is the last of 6 posts! Use the arrows to see all the previous posts.

The Cat Tree you see here is usually located on the screen porch or "lanai" as they say here in Florida. We are about to commence on a re-do of said porch, so we cleared everything out today. The existing porch will be demolished and a new porch, built to code and with the proper permits will take it's place.

The same contractor who we know and trust -he revamped our kitchen for us two years ago- is orchestrating this job for us. The stairs going down to the dock and our backyard will be relocated to the side of the porch to meet flood zone rules. New concrete supports and a stronger, 2-layer floor made from weather resistant wood will be replacing the old, not so good floor. We will have tile put down instead of the crappy indoor outdoor carpeting that gets wet during a heavy rain (it's a screen porch). The tile comes in strips and looks like planks of wood -it's beautiful! The ceiling will be raised so we can accommodate two ceiling fans so we will be able to use the space more during warmer weather. And did I mention we will be getting new furniture?? :o)) For a sitting area and also an eating area. Ooh la la!

So! Bringing the cat tree inside and placing it in the guest bedroom made it a huge attraction for some reason! Both Luna & Lightning enjoyed exploring & playing on it. Happy day!
