Summer in the City

Actually felt like Summer today as l travelled into Leeds to meet my friend for lunch. It felt too sunny to go inside the shops so we had a walk by The River Aire, around which, the city was built.
We made our way to this lovely dock, filled with water lillies and flanked by apartments which are the result of renovated warehouses.
Ate at Veenos, an Italian wine bar: large glass of red, a grilled sandwich and a coffee £15.60 for two, highly recommended !
Overcast on the way home, think we might be due a storm.
Going to watch some on the Tour de France with Mr P who came home last night after his coast to coast mountain bike challenge with our son , Tim. I asked them if there had been a lot of uphill cycling and their Garmins showed that they had ridden 198 miles and the climbs had been the equivalent of cycling up Kilimanjaro !
