Wide Angle & Wild Wednesday

Just a quick phone-camera blip today as I've been shopping with MrsC (and that can take a while...although actually, to be fair, most of the time was taken with finalising our plans for renovating our bathroom & cloakroom).

Anyway we included the Royal Quays Outlet at North Shields in our shopping trip, just next to the "Wet 'n Wild" water complex there. When this opened in 1993 it was the biggest indoor water park in the UK (it's since been overtaken by Sandcastle Water Park in Blackpool); our lads used to love going there in those days. I used to like it too but could never pluck up the courage to go on the steepest of the flumes (The Kamikaze, seen in the picture)! The owners went bankrupt in 2013 but it reopened in 2014 under new ownership. In term-time it's now only open on Fridays & Saturdays.

I thought this blip could count towards Wild Wednesday AND to Wide-Angle Wednesday; this week's theme for the latter is "Reflections", and there are reflections of part of the flumes in the window.

Many thanks to Cailleach for hosting Wild Wednesday and to Bobsblips for hosting Wide-Angle Wednesday :-)
