Pots of beauty

A neighbour was passing a building site a few years ago and was just in time to rescue some native orchids before they were ripped out by the digger.

He potted them up and now has a wonderful display - he's promised me a few and I'll try planting them in a bank along the lane. They seem to be mostly Heath Spotted Orchids though the paler, more pointed ones have a longer central lobe on the petals and are probably Common Spotted. They might be hybrids, of course.
