Angus is never going to find his old phone, so it's off to Carphone Warehouse to get a new one. £36 for a Huawei (with £10 credit) seems like a bargain. Then we get some food at Costco and buy Legends and Apocalypse Now at Sainsburys.

No sooner are we home than I'm off to Lanark to collect my Hungarian colleague, Gáspar. We will spend the next couple of days starting our new book (another bodice-ripping best-seller), but tonight we must drink whisky.
