Learning day by day

Blakeney Point Old Lifeboat House

We hadn't been to Blakeney since I was 7months pregnant with Carys, but we headed back there today. We planned to go out on a boat to the point, but didn't really realise that we would actually see seals and pups too. So we booked a boat and then it was the most important decision of the day, where to have lunch! we went to Wiveton Hall Cafe, which was a lovely child friendly, relaxed place with amazingly good food. Pizza for W, Pasta Bol. for C and Crab sandwiches for Jim and I.

Then we headed to our boat. Carys was in her element on the boat and William (once the rain passed) also loved it. We got so close to the seals, but when they were in the sea they were very difficult to capture, although I did get one or two that I was happy with. However when we embarked at the point, because of the threatening weather very few people got off, so it was just a few hardy idiots souls that got off. That meant better photo opportunities for me and a sense of exploring the wild for the kids. Definately a highlight of a very good few days holiday.
