Flower Friday - More than 1 colour

This is our little native violet (Viola banksii) - sadly no fragrance, but so pretty. 

Bi-coloured violet and white, with a tiny bright yellow bit in the middle.  I planted a couple of plugs earlier in the season, and they immediately attracted all the slugs and snails within miles.

Whenever I let Mish out at night I'd go gastropod hunting, and it must have had some effect, because there's a little mat of violets now with a couple of flowers.  They make a wonderful ground cover, and put out runners so I'm hoping that, by spring, there will be quite a large patch.
