Out of the undergrowth

I read through part of the instruction manual for my new camera before heading down to Western Springs Lake with it and my Pentax. I started with the Canon, and then used the Pentax for most of the time I was there. The wee Canon is light and easy to use, although I still find myself bringing it up to my eye to frame and focus.

This was the first photo I took with the Canon, and I am very pleased with it as the pukeko was in shadow.

Later, after I had got back to the apartment, there was a very colourful sunset. I got a better quality photo with the Pentax than with the Canon. The extra is the best of those I took with the Pentax
