Dog in a manger

Transport probs this morning! Oh no this could be a big pre-xmas expense. Gulp.

Took and early lunch and had a qick run around a couple of shops but was beaten back by the crowds.

On way home I thought that I'd take a closer look at this tableau in Princes Street gardens. I assume that it's a nativity scene, although I have never seen in close-up in daylight. Strangley the cooncil seem to have added this in recent years to the Christmas deccies in the city centre.

I am not too gen-ed up on the nativity story. But is there a dog in it? I thought it was all camels, lambs and donkeys.
