P is for...

(fairy) Pools. A return to the same location as M was taken and the final part of an unintentional trilogy of Black Cuillin pictures (M, O and today). We did the full fairy pools circuit. Not only did we have breathtaking scenary, the sun was so bright that I have done something that I avoided in Rome (and other more exotic places before) and burnt my face and neck for the first time in years. Unfortunately the sun was also behind and above the Cuillin for most of our walk, so a lot of the photos we took suffer from being a wee bit bright.

It was a great walk, the fairy pools were as enchanting as their name suggests, although we thought those stripping down to swimming costumes were a teeny weeny bit weird given the number of midges. And despite the car park being rammed because we completed the full circuit we didn't encounter many people at all. Gretal loved it too and is now well and truly pooped.
