Folkestone: Colourful Beach Huts

More cheery in large.
Back blip

We stayed in Folkestone for my last day in Kent: we wandered along the sea front, had lunch on the Old High Street (centre of the creative quarter). The Old High Street is fun: there are lots of cafes and arty shops there, and even rather good coffee (Steep Street Coffee House).

We visited a pop-up gallery where a couple were showing artwork sent to them by post: the Mail Art project is in its third year, displays all pieces contributed, and the only condition for entry is that the artwork is posted! It was fun, and there was a surprising array of talent and artistic media on show. Hmmm, that made me think: there are probably artistic mediums to be found in the creative quarter too...
Last orders?
