Gillipaw's Journal

Priory Park Landscape Garden, Bath

One of only four Palladian bridges of this design in the world. Created in the 1700s by Ralph Allen, a local businessman, with advice from Capability Brown. He made some of his fortune by reorganising the postal system. A treat to cross the bridge and enjoy this peaceful place.

From here we walked downhill into Bath, enjoying a visit to the Abbey. I was really impressed with many recent embroidered panels and wood carvings. Then a Cream Tea at Sally Lunn's, which included a famous Lunn Bun.

A long haul back up the hill. Good exercise and over 15,000 steps today.
