Roman Baths, Bath

What a place. Right in the centre of town, beside the Abbey. The Baths are much bigger than I expected. Excellent exhibition, so much to take in and learn about Roman life and traditions. You can see the spring where water is bubbling up, steam floating across. Tasting opportunity at the end. The audio guide is very informative, with additional observations on the place by Bill Bryson. We now know all about Curse Tablets.

Extras of the Gorgon head which would have been above the temple entrance, and the main Spring pool. I would recommend visiting out of season. A bit too busy for our liking today.

We then had a wander around the town to check out the architecture. Visited The Assembly Rooms, the Circus and Royal Crescent.

What a day in Politics. May in, Cameron out, Hammond in, Osborne out - a lot of shaking it all about.
