Island Queen and the Gigha Ferry

14.2C cloudy and dry in the morning, rainy through the afternoon. Moderate Westerly breeze.

Apothecary7's day off.

This morning we drove North to Tayinloan where, with Maeve the Deerhound, we had a good wander along the beach. First North from the pier where the ferry goes to Gigha, then a short way in the other direction. Maeve did dip a paw or two in the sea but there wasn't really paddling to speak of. She did seem to be much happier on the beach than she has been recently walking on a lead out to the shipyard or round to Glenramskill. We were very pleased about that.

We went back South to Glenbarr for lunch. On the way home we stopped at the farm stall at Bellochantuy for local eggs, shortbread pigs, and home made vanilla ice cream (which we had in the afternoon with chocolate cake).

This afternoon Apothecary7 has been applying gesso to paper and canvas for her next art ideas.
