Wound up in Wexford

Another bed planted

We've been busy today, planting up the bed against the fence.

We painted the fence on 7th July, and planted up the bamboos a couple of days later.  We have now found homes for almost all the various plants we have bought over the last few months.  You can see all the empty pots piled up.  There's just a Jacob's ladder and a Sisyrinchium left - but they're going in a different bed.

As we dug the holes, we dug up an almost full bucket of "rubble" of various sorts.  The amount of glass and other debris is unbelievable.  And the large stick you can see on the lawn is in fact a fence post that was completely buried.  I also found an intact, cute, small brick - struggling to read the makers on it.

The far left hand end of the bed was dug over and planted up last year, so we have hopes that the rest will look as verdant as that by this time next year.
