Stopover

A brand new Premiere Inn for an overnight stop on the drive south - a drive we used to do in a day when all the world was young. I chose Catterick as a suitable halfway point on the road; we stayed nearby some 39 years ago in a hotel we passed today, boarded up and derelict.

This hotel, however, is at Catterick Garrison. Nice new hotel in deeply odd surroundings. This photo of blue sky and razor wire was taken on a pre-dinner leg stretch; I'm probably on a security web-cam for it but hey - you need to take your blips where you can!
