A new car and new (other) high rises

For a day we had nothing planned actually, it became quite busy!
Neil is looking for a new car and came up with the idea to do some test drives today .... Hmmm!
We did look at cars last year, but then stopped as we were buying a flat instead. But now his old car really starts getting to a state where something new is needed. He does commute a few miles every day.
He arranged to test drives 2 hrs apart and off we went.
Audi first. Fire engine red A3. It was ok but not overly exciting. After we got away from the keen salesman, we drove to Hamilton, where they had a few Mercedes A Class of Neil's desired specs.
Wow, this car was much more fun that the A3. and the price was good, and the salesman was not less eager.
We did a wee walk around the block and decided to go for it. It was a good offer and exactly what he wanted. So a new car will enter our small family by next Saturday! Jupiter red! Much nicer than the Audi red.
Once finished with this small purchase we had friends texting to meet for dinner in town. Off we went. Caught up with our favourite friends for an early dinner in Merchant city. It was really nice!
On the way home, I said that I would really like to take pictures of the St. Georges Cross Highrises, but had no clue from where I can capture them.
So Neil was driving up hill into a blocked off road and we walked up and found the canal! We did not expect such an interesting part of Glasgow there. AND I could see the high rises nicely!
The sky was wonderful and we strolled around there for a while.
Then we went home and had a quiet rest of the evening.

The blip is the picture from the Canal area to St. Georges Cross and the high rises I was aiming for.
The extras show the lovely place we found up there, plus another view of the houses.
