Moon over the bottle brush plant

There is a lovely purplish sky this evening, with the moon shining in it, so I did my best to convey it in a photo. Never as good as with the naked eye though (at least I don't think so).

What a hot day it's been - even hotter inland I think. We had a thanksgiving service (funeral) at church today and had every door and window possible open and a fan going. After the service and following refreshments we came home and sat in the garden in the shade. I finally finished a paperback book that I started months ago - it was actually pretty enjoyable, just not as engaging as some, so took me a while to read it as I read other things in between.
