The Stables

Cor what a hot one! On the warmest day of the year by far we went to Calke Abbey, a National Trust property in Derbyshire, to meet our friends Liz and Genny. We managed to find a table in the shade of an old tree and had an excellent picnic including Liz's freshly cooked, that morning, pizzas and a bottle of very good red wine.

After lunch we took a walk round the gardens, somewhere I haven't been to in years, and found convenient deck chairs strategically placed in the shade; it wasn't a good day to be out in the sun.

I popped my head in the stables on the way to the garden, I quite liked how they put a painting of the same place in the centre.

Back later to hear of more Windows 10 woes; time is running out as the free upgrade is only available until the 29th.
