Fantail feast

A semi-productive day today..........if researching new lenses and ordering one counts as 'productivity'.  Should be here tomorrow.  Excited :)

Not that it would have helped me get a better shot here......I really needed mylong lens on but Mr Fantail only dropped by for a very quick feast on the late afternoon bugs........no time for lens changing.

Those of you who know fantails know that they really are masters of aerial agility.  This shot really is of him flying downwards, following quickly on from him flying directly away from me and preceeding him flying out to the left.  What I really liked about this shot (besides it being the sharpest of the lot!) is the bugs that leaped from the screen at 100% view.  They flit about like crazy things makiing Mr Fantail's ability to catch them all the more impressive.
