Down at the estuary.......

Well I didn't make it for the sunrise at -2C, instead I went down later in the day which was more suited for the out-going tide and slightly warmer at 7C.

With a few more birds around I was spoilt for choice but this capture of a Pied Oystercatcher just made me laugh. He looks like he's wearing a onesie with a balaclava celebrating the arrival of the weekend. I guess he's rather warm with all those feathers. Have a look in extras at his next move, he certainly looked like a character but was probably just doing what Pied Oystercatchers do.

A brisk day after a frosty start, slight breeze, blue sky and pleasant while in the sun.
