Maximus ....

... the Great Horned Owl.

Tonight we went up to the Plainfield Farmers' Fair as we do every year.  It's a very small town fair but they have the best BBQ chicken dinner around! We usually split one as it's a half chicken with sides .... more than enough for two people!

After eating we walked around for a bit ... it's really not very big so this didn't take long!  As we came out of the livestock area we saw that the Pocono Wildlife Rehab center was doing a presentation with some of their rescued wild animals.  

The big picture on the left is Maximus .... he is a Great Horned Owl.  I didn't get the names of the other two, but the upper right is a Screech Owl and the lower right is a Red-tailed Hawk.  

The presenter had other animals including a skunk, a possum, a snapping turtle and a porcupine!  So wild!
