Chester!

Not too bad a night, but we were both still feeling tired, hub especially! We nipped to the paper shop, then got some fresh bread, as youngest and his wife were coming to see us. We haven't had a proper catch up for a good 6/7 weeks, so plenty to chat about :-)

When they arrived Neil asked me to come out front a minute......a nice brand new shiny black motor on our drive! They had literally just picked it up, very nice it is too!!! Once hub was back from feeding daughters cat, we all sat out on the decking, had bacon sandwiches and tea for lunch........the time whizzed by and before we knew it, it was time for them to go. They had more visiting to do!

Hub and I had a lazy couple of hours, before we showered and changed, as we were off to spend the evening with our friends who live in the Forrest of Bowland. We were all hoping we might have been able to have a BBQ or at least sit outside for drinks, but by the time we arrived, the cloud had thickened and it was not quite warm enough......we did stand outside with a glass of fizz for quarter of an hour, admiring their fantastic views, but soon went back indoors.

Chef P spoilt us with his culinary skills ;-)
Our friends were on tenterhooks as their Son and DiL were "contracting" ......all was well and we were pleased to find out later that their fifth grandchild had arrived into the world safely, welcome "Tilly" :-)

My plan had been to get a daylight blip whilst we were sat outside.....which obviously didn't materialise. I almost forgot until, we were getting ready to leave for home, when I thought "ahh no blip!!" Luckily for me Chester, who is the most charming and cute little fellow, and was impeccably behaved for 7 month old pup, jumped up onto "his" large cushion and posed perfectly.

Thank you Chester, and thank you P&P :-)

We got home just before 1am and fell straight into bed..........zzzzzzzz!
