Spike

The Hebes have lots of flower spikes on them at the moment - very popular with the butterflies and bees in our garden. I spent quite a bit of time sitting in the sun today with my big sun hat on that I bought last year and have hardly used. The air temperature was cooler, so it would have been unpleasant sitting in the shade. I felt it did me good though and I got a book finished and another started.
