Bus Challenge No 95!!

Somerset Lavender Farm, Faulkland

A wet start to the day, but fortunately it dried up in time for my bus into Bath where I met up with a friend to take a second bus down into Somerset and to Radstock, for a third bus to the village of Faulkland, home to the Somerset Lavender Farm.

Like many country bus services, the bus to Faulkland only runs a couple of times a day so we only had an hour to enjoy the colours and fragrance of the farm, but we still had time to wander through the lavender fields and to taste a delicious Lavender Ice Cream!

Back in Radstock, with time to spare before the fifth bus of the day, we popped into the local supermarket/department store where you can buy anything under the sun! I came home with a treacle tart and a door mat!! As you do!!!

Our fifth bus back to Bath, and our second new route of the day, was the tiniest of buses that took us along the narrowest of lanes, winding its way through the villages and hills to south of Bath. It may have turned out to be a rather long six-bus journey for such a short visit today, but the journey itself on a sunny afternoon through the green countryside was just as enjoyable as that Lavender Ice Cream!!

Total bus journey times = 2 hr 28 mins
Total waiting in between buses time = 1 hr 32 mins
Total journey time = 4 hr

Have added a couple of extras, can you spot the odd one out?!

(It took all of yesterday evening to backup the computer, so as I write this with one finger on my iPad, Windows 10 is uploading, hopefully!!)
