Westport Beach

15.7C bright and sunny with plenty of cloud around. Light Westerly breeze.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Then we pottered around until lunchtime. I took Maeve the Deerhound down to the garden and brushed her thoroughly.

Then we went to Westport beach to meet up with Mother Shipton and her family. We had a long walk along the sand towards Machrihanish, and of course back again. Apothecary7 took home another Dogfish egg case for her collection of interesting things on the studio windowsill. Most enjoyable.

Then we all went to Glenbarr and visited the cafe at the garden centre. It was warm enough to sit outside. There were coffees and teas and hot chocolate with marshmallows and treats and conversation and laughter. The three Alpacas from North Beachmore farm were there (Ella, Bella, and Magnum). They are of great intererst to small persons who get to feed them with peas in their pods :-)

A very pleasant afternoon indeed !
