Prayer Flags and Little Mount Peel

We woke to another cold morning, this time though the pipes were frozen. They still are. I think we got to 2ºC today for the high, so it's been a day for doing stuff to keep warm (clearing the driveway of snow for me, feeding out of the cattle for Mrs H). I also put the new snow  chains on the Toyota to give them a test run, meaning I could make it down the driveway to the bottom of the hill. Safe to say the chains are still fitted.

Needless to say the dogs and the cat haven't ventured far from the firesides. Wise move.

This was the view from the deck around 8am, with the first light hitting the snow on the top of Little Mount Peel. By the looks of it through the binoculars, there's been a fair dump up there. Seeing this first thing in the morning definitely raises the spirits, even if the temperature stays low.
